Makes great barbecue sandwiches! You can use your favorite cola and sauce to vary the tastes. Good to freeze in smaller portions and pull out as needed.

Was surprised that I had not reviewed this yet. I made this a few weeks ago and this past weekend had guest coming in and luckily I was able to find this recipe again. Used about a 2 1/2 pound pork roast and I did pour half of the cola in at the beginning and then the rest when the shredded pork was returned for the last round of cooking. Used Sweet Baby Ray's Original BBQ Sauce. Started it the night before around 9:00 and in the morning shredded the pork and added the rest of the cola and bbq sauce and then put it in the fridge until around noon and then finished cooking. Served on buns. Had bbq beans, cole slaw and potato chips on the side. Some of us put the cole slaw on the sandwich. Dinner was a hit! Had several request for the recipe.

I originally got this recipe from Fix it and Forget It Cookbook....it is a tried and true recipe. A great way to cook up a lot of pork to put into the freezer. Thanks for posting!

This was great & couldn't be eaiser! I had a 4 lb. roast & cooked it overnight, maybe 12 1/2-13 hrs. Just 2 hrs after adding cola & sauce. DH ate 3 at one sitting. Great w/coleslaw and baked beans.
