Egg Salad Sandwich

Recipe #42126 | 20 min | 10 min prep | 1 sandwich (Change Servings)

RECIPE BY: Tara

Use this as a guide to make as many sandwiches as you like. I know many people know how to make this easy sandwich but this is a lot how my great grandmother made them and oddly enough the lettuce seems to really make it taste better, especially not just putting it on top of your sandwich. Anyways a new cook may not know this easy meal yet and I didn't see one exactly like this in the database.

Bravo, Tara! I used regular yellow mustard and leaf lettuce (instead of lettuce in the egg salad). Made for a really great sandwich! All along I've just been using eggs, mayo, and dill weed!

Egg Salad for grown ups! I wanted to branch out from the more traditional egg salad recipes (with relish) and this was perfect! I doubled the recipe since I had so many eggs from Easter. I especially loved the celery seed. I have a love-hate relationship with celery (I love the taste, not the texture) and the seeds solved the dilemma! Thanks for posting!

This was my first taste of egg salad and i loved it!Even my son who hates onions liked it, and i did add the onion. I used regular mustard, and miracle whip enstead of mayo.I will for sure be making this again!

This is a good basic recipe for egg salad. I usually add chopped celery, but just used the celery seeds this time. Yum. I had just made Green Olive Spread and so added this to the sandwich. Wonderful! Thanks for a surefire recipe!
