The addictive sauce you can't get enough of on TB's Gorditas and Chalupas.

1 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Using a food processor, puree peppers and onion.
  2. 2
    Mix 1 cup mayo and 4 teaspoons of the vegetable purée in a bowl.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

    Chill for several hours to blend flavors.

WOW I just loved this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly but added an extra tsp. of the vegetable purree then let it chill for about 6 hours. It was wonderful.

    Mine is chilling right now so I assume it will get even better, but it smells and tastes identical to the TB sauce. I didn't add the red bell pepper. I used white onion. I added a little extra cumin. The only thing, is I had a hard time with the small amount of vegetables in the blender. I ended up just putting everything in the blender and turn it on for a minute. Turned out perfect. Easier than hand mixing.

    Its not the recipe I think maybe its something I did but it was sweet I had to use a purple onion maybe thats what it was :o( Thanks for the recipe though I may try it again.

    I love you for posting this recipe! I've been trying to cut back on fast food and now I can make my Taco Bell favorites low-fat by substituting ingredients. I used Miracle Whip in this one and it still tasted great!
