Sauteed Mushrooms

We eat these as a topper for steak or baked potatoes, or as a side dish with just about anything. Easy and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • tablespoon butter or margarine
  • cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 lbs fresh mushroom, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • garlic powder (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • Directions

      Melt butter over medium heat in a large pan.
    2. 2
      Add garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
    3. 3
      Add sliced mushrooms, stir to coat, and cook for about 5 minutes.
    4. 4
      Drizzle soy sauce into the mushrooms.
    5. 5
      Sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper.
    6. 6
      Continue cooking over medium heat for about 10 minutes or until desired doneness is achieved.

      Remove from pan and serve.

    What a nice side dish! I did find them to be salty but I did not have low sodium soy sauce. Next time, I will try that. Over all, we loved it.

    I was searching for some way to cook these in other than red wine. This recipe turned out fabulous as a garnish to my pork roast. first dinner i made for this guy i like, and he loved it!! thanks!

    I added more garlic 'cause that's just how I am. Great dish. Went perfect with a big ol sirloin and a baked tater. Thanks for a great recipe

    Wow! These were so good we had to make a 2nd batch, as the 1st batch was eaten up before the steak was ready! We used salted butter and halved the button mushrooms.
