Mashed Red Potatoes With Garlic And Parmesan

The potatoes are ready in our garden, and this is the first recipe I reach for! These are SO good!!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs red potato, unpeeled,quartered
  • cloves garlic, peeled
  • tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Directions

      Put potatoes and garlic in lg pan.
    2. 2
      Cover with water.
    3. 3
      Bring to a boil.
    4. 4
      Reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
    5. 5
      Drain well.
    6. 6
      Mash with the butter, milk, and salt.
    7. 7
      Stir in the parmesan cheese.

    I just made this in a fit of post-wisdom-tooth-surgery desperation for something soft to eat, and it is delicious!! Easy for me to make even in my groggy state. Thanks MizzNezz!

    heaven on earth! this was excellant. i made it for my parents with salmon and asparagus. these potatoes needed no extra butter or sauce. perfect as is!

    I made these last night, needed something quick and this was it. I used garlic powder and frozen parm instead I thought they were awesome. My family loved them they ate the whole pot in less than 10 minutes. Thanks Inez.
