Copycat Taco Bell Taco Sauce

SERVES 20
Ingredients
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 dash Tabasco sauce
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/2 cup pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon Postum instant drink powder
- 1 teaspoon dark molasses
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup
Directions

In a large saucepan, over low heat, combine all ingredients.2
Whisk together well.3
When heated, it's ready to serve-- makes enough sauce to cover 18 to 20 tacos.4
Unused sauce freezes well.

This was really good! I can't say if it tasted just like Taco Bell or not, but it was just what I wanted and tasted great on some homemade tacos that wouldn't have been the same without it. Totally easy, too!

Very Interesting combonation of ingredients. I took Laudee's suggestion and used this recipe to make Burrito Bake Burrito Bake. This was easy to make and I had everything already in the house, except the drink powder which I did omit. I will use this the next time I make tacos too. Thanks for posting!
