Classic Baked Spaghetti

Recipe #32731 | 55 min | 25 min prep | add private note

By: AngelaTN

I looked everywhere for an easy baked spaghetti that did NOT use mushrooms or cream of mushroom soup (husband is allergic). I am happy to say I found it. You could add mushrooms, green pepper, olives, etc. to this dish for added variety, but I like it just the way it is! This makes a great family meal...just add a tossed salad and some garlic bread, and dinner is ready in about an hour.

Wow! I absolutely am hooked. I wanted a recipe that didn't have mushrooms as well and this was the blue ribbon winner for me and my DH. He had never has baked spaghetti before. We are both hooked. The only changes I made were instead of using oregano I used Italion Seasoning. I also used casserole cheese ( a blend of 4 cheeses) insteaad of chedder. I prefer Ragu Old World Style. It is the best for picky eaters like my son.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! This is such a great dish. It's almost as easy as boiling noodles and putting sauce on them but it's so tasty. I make it just as written. By putting frozen ground beef in the 'fridge the day before I can cook it while the noodles cook without having to defrost. DH has requested that this replace regular spaghetti and my DD loves it too! This is a keeper and will be on the list of standby's forever.
