This is the standard recipe in South Philly for broccoli rabe, which is highly nutritious and tasy.

    Wash broccoli rabe and remove thick stems.

    Add olive oil to 2 quart pot and heat.
  3. 3
    Add garlic and let cook 1 minute.

    Add broccoli rabe and salt and cover.

    Cook 10 minutes, stiring often.
  6. 6
    Serve with 1/4 lemon, the juice offsets the bitter taste of the greens.
