Sunday Sweet Potato Pie

Pumpkin can be substituted for sweet potatoes, if desired.

    Prepare crust. Set aside.

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. 3
    In mixing bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt. Stir in potatoes. Add eggs. Beat well. Add milk, butter, and bourbon. Beat until mixed.

    Pour mixture into prepared pie crust. Bake 25-35 minutes, or until pie tests done. Let cool. Chill to serve.

    Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
