Peach Cobbler

Recipe #31901 | 55 min | 10 min prep | SERVES 12 (Change Servings)

RECIPE BY: Suellen Anderson

I found this recipe on the internet from the Salt Lick Restaurant in Austin, TX. Everyone loves this recipe so much I have to make a double batch! Feel free to cut back on the sugar. Everyone has and it still comes out perfect. :D Personally, I always use two bags of frozen peaches instead of canned.

Great, simple cobbler! Just used what I had on hand... I replaced half the flour with whole wheat flour, and only used 1/2 c. sugar for batter and 1/4 c. in filling. I only had a 15 oz. can of peaches so I mixed with a 15 oz. can of pineapple chunks--what a great combination! It disappeared in minutes, served warm with vanilla ice cream. You gotta try it.

This was absolutely delicious!! It was very easy to prepare and I had all the ingredients on hand. I have never made a peach colbler before and this one will definately be a repeat in my home!! I may cut back a wee bit on the sugar next time. As well, it only took 30 minutes to cook to a golden brown for me. Served it with French Vanilla Ice Cream - Yummy!!!

Made this for work lastnight and there is none left!!!! Very good and simple to make. I left out the nutmeg and used fresh peaches instead of canned, turned out lovely!
