I was looking for different version's of fried okra. Well needless to say, I didn't find a one so this is my momma's recipe.

SERVES 2 -4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Take the ends off and cut into several peices.
  2. 2
Beat the egg and put the okra in coat well then add the cormeal.
  3. 3
    Fry it until golden brown.
  4. 4
I normally put the cornmeal in a zip lock bag and that coats the oka.
  5. 5
I also use my iron skillet that makes the golden brown.
