Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Cream sugar, shortening, and eggs. Gradually add ½ cup milk and the vanilla. Blend well. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Make a hollow in the center and gradually mix in the sugar, shortening, egg mixture. Mix well. If too dry, add remaining milk a little at a time. It should be soft, manageable dough. Pat into a ball, wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate for ½ hour. Put sesame seeds in sieve and rinse. Drain well. Break of small pieces of the dough and roll into log shapes using your hands. Roll in sesame seeds. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
