Yum! These were delicious! Easy too. Thanks for sharing!

After looking at these in the crock pot after six hours, I got really distressed when it appeared the milk had curdled while cooking. After smelling and asking DH's opinion, we went ahead with whipping them with a hand held mixer. They actually turned out really good. The garlic flavor came out really nice. This is a great recipe for Thanksgiving when you have a million other things to make, and just need something easy to set aside. Doesn't really beat out your typical home style mashed potatoes, but is a good alternative.

I followed the recipe directions exactly because I was VERY skeptical that this dish would turn out to resemble my beloved mashed potatoes. I did peel the potatoes, since I like smooth mashers and didn't want the peels to interfere with the texture. I cooked my spuds in the crockpot for 4 hours on high and they were done perfectly and very easy to mash with the addition of some hot milk and a bit of extra butter. I am not sure I will ever go back to making mashed potatoes any other way, since these turned out so very delicious and were ridiculously easy! I love easy, especially when I've got several other things going on in the oven and on the stove. My whole family gave this recipe 5*

These were wonderful ChrisMc. So easy to throw in the crockpot and forget about them. I used a potato masher and the potatoes came out very smooth and not lumpy. We all loved the garlic flavor. Thanks
