Chef Buggsy Mate

This is a smoothie that I often throw together for breakfast. It also makes a great "milk shake" for the kids when they want some sort of treat. My kids still have not caught on that they are having something healthy!

SERVES 1 , 1 Smoohtie (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Spoon out one cup of pineapple chunks from a can of pineapple and place in a blender.
  2. 2
Pour a quart cup of the natural pineapple juice from the can and add it to the pineapple in the blender.
  3. 3
Add remaining banana and frozen strawberries to the blender and process until smooth.
  4. 4
    Serve immediatly.

Great use of the pineapple chunks! I probably used a bit more strawberries than called for here, & did include a scoop of protein powder, and the final swallow said it all, & I had a GREAT, GREAT BREAKFAST! [Tagged, made & reviewed as a kidnapped recipe in the Aus/NZ Recipe Swap #20]

I truly enjoyed this smoothie and will definitely be making it again. My strawberries were not frozen, so I added 10 ice cubes. Also added 1/2 cup juice instead of 1/4 cup. Thanks for a great breakfast drink!
