GotBoxer?

This is the bread and butter work horse cheese ball of any party. I have no idea how large the actual jar of dried beef is, since I have never looked. It is just your standard size jar of Hormel Dried Beef.

I used 2 8 ounce packages cream cheese and 4.5 ounces (the size of a package of dried beef) and also didn't salt it. My and my daughters' friends loved this. I served it with whole wheat sociable crackers. Will def. be making this time and time again! Thanks for posting GotBoxer?!

Everybody raves about this stuff! My recipe is a little different. I use 3 8-oz pkgs cream cheese and it is still quite salty, and cover the outside with chopped pecans. Served with Ritz crackers it is to die for! I made this about two months ago and discovered that dried beef at my grocer is now sold in a sealed envelope, like tuna.
