A hearty flavorful rice. Use in Indian cooking. Is not overpowered by spices.

SERVES 4 , 3 cups Basmati Rice (change servings and units)

    Bring water, salt, and butter to a boil.

    Stir in rice with a fork.
  3. 3
    Bring back to a boil, then cut heat to simmer, to prevent "boiling over". (Do not be tempted to remove lid -- this can cause gummy rice.).

    Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
