This is one of those dishes that you might find making over and over again. There is so much you can add to this and it still taste great.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    In a large skillet heat oil and margarine.
  2. 2
    Add chicken and onion cook and stir until chicken is lightly browned and onions are tender.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Transfer to a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole dish.

    Bake at 370°F for 1 hour or until rice is tender.

Had this for dinner tonight. Mmm mmm good. A change - I didn't want to heat the kitchen up by turning on the oven, so I just let it simmer on top of the stove. I used more water as some reviewers did.

    Soooo good, I had 2 helpings! I used the cream of chicken & mushroom also. Cut the cayenne pepper in half and it still had a bite to it but tolerable (I don't like overly spicy food). Covered the dish for 50 minutes and took the cover off for the last 10. Yummo!

    This was so good. And easy to make. The only thing I did different was to use more soup.
