Spaghetti Goulash

This is our ultimate household comfort food...My husband's absolute favorite. It goes together very easily once you read through the recipe you'll understand.

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

    Fry the bacon in a big kettle, drain on paper towels.
  2. 2
    In same pot brown the hamburg and the onions, about 15 minutes.
  3. 3
    Return the bacon to the pot and add the tomatoes simmer for about 45 minutes.

    Add the black pepper, sugar and tomato juice.
  5. 5
    Cook your spaghetti in a separate pot, when done rinse with cool water to stop the cooking process.
  6. 6
    Add the cooked spaghetti to the pot of sauce.

Very tasty! I didn't have any canned tomatoes so I used just the tomato juice and some fresh tomatoes. I really liked the use of bacon in the goulash. That gave it a very interesting taste. Not sure if I would use the spaghetti noodles again just personal preference. It was very good though and my kids LOVED! DH really enjoyed as well! Thank you so much! Made for Fall PAC 2008

    This recipe is my favorite one ever!!! I make this all the time because its so easy and it tastes so good! the bacon gives it a great flavor, but bacon gives anything a good flavor!!! This recipe is AWESOME!!!
