I know that adding the lettuce late very likely changed the character of this dish, but I really couldn't bring myself to even taste a cooked piece of lettuce! So instead I added it very near the end, & cooked it only a couple of minutes at most! Did include the garlic powder & had an enjoyable & different side dish! [Tagged, made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in the current Pick-A-Chef]
