This is a pizza I put together yesterday for my family. Great way for me to get my kids to eat veggies. I used Sue L's Pizza Sauce and our Healthy Italian Bread Sticks or Pizza Crust for the crust. I also used only some of these veggies, because of what I had on hand but posted it the way I plan to add to it next time. Feel free to use whatever colorful veggies you have on hand also! Preparation and cooking time includes time to make Healthy Italian Bread Sticks or Pizza Crust for the pizza.

2 medium pizzas (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. 2
If using Recipe #252423 for the crust, wait until the crusts have baked for 20 minutes and then add and arrange all of the toppings (if using a different pizza crust, then follow the directions for that pizza crust).
  3. 3
Spread sauce over pizza dough. Sprinkle cheese all over sauce. Arrange zucchini, tomatoes, and yellow squash over pizza. Scatter onion and bell pepper over vegetables. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if desired, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4
Put the pizza back in the oven to cook for about 10 more minutes.

This was easy to prepare and oh so good. I used tomatoes from the garden, zucchini, olives, yellow squash and mushrooms. My husband said it was better than the restarant and he eats lots of pizza.

This pizza got raves from my DBF, I loved it too! He usually orders pizza with meat or pepperoni and he said this one was even better! I happen to love veggies so this one was my kind of pizza. I used tomatoes, mushrooms, green and red bell peppers, zucchini, and a bit of olives. I also used Kezza's Chunky Pizza Sauce and Healthy Italian Bread Sticks or Pizza Crust. I'm afraid DBF won't be ordering out for pizza anymore
