Oriental Pork With Noodles

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 lbs lean pork, cubed
• pasta
• 1/2 lb vermicelli
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons sesame oil
• 4 ounces peanuts, finely chopped
• marinade
• 1 tablespoon soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon dry sherry
• 1 tablespoon sesame oil
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• pasta sauce
• 3 tablespoons dry sherry
• 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
• 3 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 tablespoon sesame oil
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
• 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• 6 ounces water chestnuts
• 6 scallions, diced
• 2 tablespoons oil (for frying meat)

Directions

   Place pork in marinade & refridgerate 30 minute.

   Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente, drain & rinse.

   Place in mixing bowl & combine with first sesame oil & soy sauce. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Just before serving, top with peanuts.

   Combine ingredients for Sauce & set aside.

   Heat 2 T oil in large skillet.

   Stir fry pork for 4 or 5 minutes.

   Add water chestnuts & scallions, stir fry another minute or 2.

   Pour in Sauce & bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.

   Serve over the oriental pasta.
