Chocolate-Chocolate Candy Cookies

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup shortening
• 3/4 cup butter, softened
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups flour
• 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup M&M'

Directions

   Heat oven to 350.

   In large bowl, combine shortening, butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy.

   Add vanilla and eggs; beat until smooth.

   Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off.

   Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; blend well.

   Stir in chocolate pieces.

   Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

   Bake at 350 for 8 to 9 minutes or until edges are set.

   DO NOT OVERBAKE.

    Cool 2 minutes.

    Remove from cookie sheets.
