Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard (Dijon if you prefer)

    • Directions

    1. 1
      Preheat oven to 400.
    2. 2
      Lay out bacon slices on a broiler pan rack. (you can use a baking sheet but you will have to drain the grease).
    3. 3
      Brush the bacon lightly with honey mustard. (both sides).
    4. 4
      Lightly coat both sides of bacon in brown sugar. (either press it into the sugar or sprinkle).
    5. 5
      Bake 15 minutes, turn them over and bake 5-10 more minutes or until the bacon is to your liking.

    My kids got up early and made this for me for mother's day. It was so yummy! I loved it. I made it the next day and made up a half recipe, mixing the sugar and mustard together and thinning it down a bit. That way I basted the coating on one side of some partially cooked bacon before baking. Turned out awesome. Thanks for the idea!
