Texas Barbecue Sauce (One-Pan Wonderful)

This is a delicious all purpose barbecue sauce, for chicken, ribs, wings, or brisket. It will please every-body's palate when severing to a crowd. If you know that everyone likes spicy, then by all means add some Texas Pete (or your favorite hot sauce), chilies, or chili powder. This is versatile, quick, easy, and made with ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. Easily doubled, tripled......

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1-2 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (sweet or smoked)
  • tablespoons tarragon vinegar (or whatever you have on hand)
  • 3/4 cup catsup
  • tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • teaspoon prepared mustard (I prefer Dijon)
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Directions

      Place all ingredients into a saucepan over medium and bring to a simmer, while stirring.

      Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally making sure sauce is not burning or sticking to the bottom of the pan.
