Blueberry Orange Smoothie

Recipe #300809 | 5 min | 5 min prep | SERVES 2 (Change Servings)

RECIPE BY: Sydney Mike

The original recipe came from Touch of Home, but a small amount of tweaking was done to get this version! If using fresh blueberries, freeze them first!

Posted on: Apr 26, 2008

Ingredients

  • large navel orange
  • cup non-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/3 cup nonfat milk
  • cup frozen blueberries
  • teaspoons granulated sugar
  • cup ice cube (optional)
  • Directions

    1. 1
Peel orange & remove all the white pith, then separate into sections.
    2. 2
To blender, add orange sections, yogurt, milk, frozen berries & sugar, then cover & blend until smooth.
    3. 3
If adding ice, add now, then cover & blend again until smooth.
    4. 4
      Serve in chilled glasses.

"This has yogurt! Good job, Mom!" said my 3yo son. I liked it too! I didn't add the sugar and it was just fine. Thanks! Reviewed for Newest Zaar Tag.

I really enjoyed this smoothie Mike. The only change up I made was to add two t. of Splenda in replacement of the sugar. A great little afternoon pick-me-up. Thanks for posting this recipe that you tweaked for yourself. Tagged and made for NewestZaarStars~
