Whipped Cream Frosting

A really good frosting that isn't too sweet.

SERVES 6 -8 , 1 frosted cake (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Blend milk and cornstarch in a small saucepan.

    Cook and stir over low heat until thickened.
  3. 3
    Chill thoroughly.
  4. 4
    Cream margarine, shortening and sugar.
  5. 5
    Beat in chilled paste and any desired flavoring.
  6. 6
    Beat at high speed until mixture resembles whipped cream.
  7. 7
    Mixture will frost and fill a 9" 2 layer cake, or a 9 x 13 inch sheet cake.
