3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Recipe #323810 | 13 min | 5 min prep | add private note

By: Sheynath
Sep 7, 2008

This recipe is so simple. Sometimes I put chocolate chips in too, but then it is 4-ingredient cookies! Also, you can use 1/2 white sugar and 1/2 brown sugar to make a deeper caramel or molasses-y taste.

SERVES 12 , 24 cookies (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat oven to 350.
  2. 2
Combine the three ingredients, stirring until well blended.
  3. 3
If using the chocolate chips, stir in now.
  4. 4
Form dough into small balls, using about a tablespoon of dough.
  5. 5
Place 12 balls on a cookie sheet, evenly spaced. (I like to line my cookie sheets with parchment paper) Using a fork, press the tines across the ball to flatten and make a criss-cross pattern.
  6. 6
Bake about 6-8 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  7. 7
Remove cookie sheet from oven and let sit for a couple of minutes before removing the cookies. They are very delicate when hot and will crumble if you try to remove them too soon.
  8. 8
Set cookies on rack to cool.

no stars here because i added so much. i added 1.5 c fresh medium unsweetened coconut, almost 1 c mixture of sugars ( processed organic white and unprocessed organic brown) some spices (including vanilla extract that i will never get again), etc. and i've put a lot of the dough in the freezer because for as small as my refrigerator/freezer is, my oven is even smaller. this is soooooooo good - much better than usual processed cookies! i'm learning how to bake again (after so long of not doing how to do anything but sleeping and working). i am not a baker - but i think 81 year old mum might need to learn how to make these. they're excellent! thank you for posting!

I've made these cookies I don't know how many times and I love them. A real life-saver when I've been low on ingedients. I usually will add a touch of vanilla as well and I do like to add the chips if I have them.

Easy to make and really tasty! I tried honey instead of sugar (half cup only) and it turned out great. Just what I was looking for!! Thanks
