My husband loves the taste of honey, and when I found this recipe I knew he'd like it. It's also one of those great recipes you prep in the morning and is ready to eat when you come home in the evening.

My dh made this recipe exactly as written without the sesame seeds. It turned out really good. He shredded it and put it over rice. It was a tad salty, I think low-sodium soy would help with that and it was a little strong on the soy so we'll likely reduce it to 3/4c soy next time. We had no problems with dry chicken, but maybe that's because we shredded it...

I noticed in the reviews that people thought this recipe was rather dry, so I changed it a little. I left out the oil, added the zest of two lemons, and used an extra clove of crushed garlic. Rather than slow cooking it, I left the chicken to marinade and stir fried it in the evening. I stir-fried bell peppers and peas separately with a little of the sauce and once the chicken was cooked mixed them together. It made a really nice dinner, I'll be making it again!

Sorry, but this was not nice. Made it for a get together for the first time and no one even went for seconds. Will not be making this one again.

I'm sorry, but I did not like this at all. The chicken was extremely dry and I and there was something about the flavor that wasn't quite right. It is very reminiscent of my mother's teriyaki chicken but def. not the same. I won't be making this again. Also, I had in mind that it would be like the Honey Chicken at a chinese restaurant but they are nothing alike.
