Big fluffy cake-like cookies. This is a recipe passed on from my mom. Her recipe card is so covered with cookie ingredients you can't read it anymore. My sister and I call her regularly to get the recipe, so I am adding it here so I will always have it.

  1. 1
    400 degrees 8-10 min.
  2. 2

These yield a good cookie that is a little different, but that's good. Variety keeps things interesting, right? I added everything in the amount stated....my dh doesn't care for cinnamon much, so that was strong to him yet I really like it so the measurement was fine with me. These are definitely cake like cookies, so I found them to be just as design*girl stated, even the batter is more cake like than cookie like. A good choice I made for Pick A Chef Spring 2008. Thanks!!

These were pretty good. They are so different from any chocolate chip cookie I have ever had before. They are definitely cakey and soft and didn't last very long! The nutmeg was a bit overpowering, so I would reduce that next time. I used cinnamon applesauce, so I left out the cinnamon.
