This is a great recipe. I added a pack of lipton onion soup to the patties, sauteed some onions and mushrooms and mixed the soup and water with them, poured them over the patties and put them in the oven. When they came out, I topped it with a slice of provolone cheese...they didn't last long!

We used to like the frozen salisbury steak when we were short on time, but I knew there had to be something better out there. This is it! My husband could NOT tell there was mushroom soup in this recipe. He thought it was awesome. I'm glad I took a chance and made extra to freeze. The patties were big as well. This is a keeper, thanks!

Very good! My husband hates mushrooms and didn't even realize the soup ingredient. I placed each pattie on a 1/2 slice of bread, to soak up any grease while cooking. I then removed the bread before adding the rest of the soup/water and cooked for the 10 minutes more.

As my mom used to say--Heavens to Betsy!! This is the best Salisbury Steak I have ever made or tasted. I chose to use garlic powder instead of garlic salt. The steaks just melted in our mouths. The sauce was rich and savory. This is a top notch dish in my book. Thanks Nurse Di
