American Sirloin Steaks

Recipe #291758 | 11 min | 5 min prep | add private note

This is a recipe from the issue of April 2007 of Coup de Pouce. A recipe for the barbecue that needs only a few ingredients that you probably have in your pantry (except the sirloin steaks LOL)

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
In a not too deep glass dish, mix Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper. Add steaks and flip them to coat well. Cover the dish with a plastic wrap and let marinate in the fridge 45 minutes to 1 hour (flip the steaks from time to time).
  2. 2
Set the barbecue to medium-high heat. Put steaks on a greased grill of the barbecue and cook about 3 minutes on each side for a rare steak or until desired cooking. Put steaks on a cutting board and cover with foil paper, without stretching. Let rest for 5 minutes.

This was a great marinade! I marinated the steaks for most of the day and they turned out tender and moist. This simple marinade has great flavor. I love that it has ingredients I always have on hand.

A simple and great tasting marinade! Used more garlic since we LOVE garlic. Think that this would be really good on chicken too! Thanks for sharing

Great marinade! I never would've thought of adding vinegar to a steak marinade, but it sure worked with this mixture. I do agree that I'd let the steaks soak up the flavors longer than the time suggested. I'll be making this many times over the summers ahead. Thanks Boomette!

This was good and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written other then I used less salt. Next time I would marinate the steaks a bit longer.
