Diabetic Apple Pie

This recipe came from my Aunt's recipe box. She always made this for my Uncle for the holidays.

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Fill pie shell with sliced apples.
  2. 2
    Heat apple juice to boiling.
  3. 3
    Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into hot juice.
  4. 4
    Cook until thickened.
  5. 5
    Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
  6. 6
    Dot with butter.
  7. 7
    Pour juice over all and cover with upper crust.
  8. 8
    Prick crust.
  9. 9
    Bake in 450 for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 350 and bake 35-45 minutes.
