Just Like Popeye's Fried Chicken - Copycat

My recipe clone of the famous fried chicken from the Popeye's fast food restaurant chain

SERVES 1 -2 , 4 pieces (change servings and units)

    Wash and clean chicken.
  2. 2
    Place chicken in large bowl,and pour 2 cups of buttermilk over chicken making sure to cover chicken pieces.Cover chicken and refrigerate overnight.

    In a seperate bowl combine egg, 1/2 cup buttermilk,and flour.

    Remove chicken from bowl and dip in batter.
  5. 5
    Season chicken with salt,Zatarain,tomato soup mix,chicken bouillon and Accent.

    Pour cornflakes in seperate bowl and dip chicken pieces in cornflakes,making sure to coat them evenly.

    In a medium cast iron skillet heat vegetable oil to 350 degrees (F). Place chicken pieces in hot oil.Fry for about 15- 20 minutes covered,turning once.

    Remove chicken from pan, drain on paper towel,and serve.
