I do all our home canning and this recipe is geared towards using those jars! I am able to use canned tomatoes and black beans so the ingredients will reflect either pints or quarts for measurements. This recipe freezes well.

SERVES 8 -10 , 10 cups (change servings and units)

    In large saucepan brown beef and onion until meat is done. Drain.

    Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 20 minutes until heated through and slightly thickened.

    Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream and tortilla chips if desired.
