New Brunswick Donairs

Recipe #286904 | 1¼ hours | 10 min prep | SERVES 8 , 1 loaf (Change Servings)

RECIPE BY: Chef burnt toast

This is a recipe given to me by a co-worker. It mimics very well the donairs that are served in this part of the country. I like this recipe because it doesn't have a lot of preservatives in it. I usually use lean hamburger when I make it. I serve it with the Donair Sauce receipe that I have also posted.

As a full blooded New Brunswicker, born and raised, now living in Atlanta, GA since 1999, I can appreciate this and the sauce recipes... when I tried to explain to people down here what a Donair was, and how amazing they taste, everyone looked at me like I was nuts! Well now they can see what I have been talking about for so long! THANKS!!!!

Excellent recipe. I will suggest to cool the loaf before slicing. I have tried to rate this recipe 3 times and it has not went through. I will continue to rate until it does. This recipe is worthy.
