One of my favorite meat and potato dishes that is sooo simple to make and really yummy!

SERVES 4 -6 , 1 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Pre-heat oven to 450.
  2. 2
Brown the ground beef in a skillet until thoroughly cooked.
  3. 3
    drain off excess grease.
  4. 4
Transfer ground beef back into skillet and add the can of cream of mushroom soup, salt and pepper; stir until mixed evenly.
  5. 5
Pour beef mixture into casserole dish and add tater tots to the top, spreading an even layer.
  6. 6
    Bake for 35 minutes.
  7. 7
    ENJOY!
  8. 8
*Ground the beef with the onion; chopped. Tastes really good with the onion but I've left it out for friends with Onion Allergies and I still LOVE it!

This was very easy and very tasty! I didn't have any cream of mushroom soup, so I substituted cream of celery, and it was still very good. I was a little confused about the recipe - in the directions nothing was said about how to include the onions. But, I sauteed them with the beef and it worked out fine. I might try to figure out how to incorporate a green veggie next time. My kids, 5 and 2, loved it! They both finished their entire meal! Thanks!

I'd never had Tater Tot Casserole before and was a bit nervous to try it, as was my boyfriend. We both were pleasantly surprised to find we LOVED it!!! We liked it even better with a bit of ketchup. Excellent recipe and I'll definitely make this again!
