Kelly's Kihei, Maui Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients

• 2 cups soy sauce
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 fresh garlic cloves
• 3 tablespoons fresh ginger
• 1 tablespoon sesame oil
• 1 teaspoon sesame seed
• 1 scallion

   Grate ginger root, crush garlic, and dice scallion. Mix all ingrediants together until sugar disolves pretty well. Marinade your choice of meat (I use a ziplock bag) for at least 4 hours, but better overnight. Grill and enjoy! Serve "local style" with sticky rice and macaroni salad! Note: preparation time does not include marinating time!
