Really yummy recipe. My own creation based on lots of other stroganoff recipes out there. Makes great left-overs

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Brown beef and drain. Cook egg noodles according to package directions (or use my recipe for homemade noodles). Set aside.
  2. 2
In a small cup, dissolve bullion granules in boiling water or use 1 1/2c. hot beef broth.
  3. 3
Melt butter in medium sauce pan. Add in all-purpose flour and whisk until smooth. Add hot broth and stir continuously while simmering for 3-4 minutes.
  4. 4
After butter mixture resembles gravy, remove from heat and stir in sour cream and mustard.
  5. 5
Place beef and noodles in pan and stir to coat with gravy. Heat thoroughly, but don't boil.
  6. 6
    Enjoy!

I found this recipe easy, tasty but a bit salty. I added garlic, parsley and black pepper to my ground beef while browning. I do plan on making again and using canned low sodium beef broth to cut the salt just a bit. Still, a very good dish! Tee

Super tasty! I didn't have egg noodles on hand, so I used jumbo shells. I stuffed them with the stroganoff filling and froze them. They reheated easily. GREAT recipe! I'll never go back to the box!

This was very good and super easy to make. I have a very picky 5 year old who asked for seconds. I really thought he would just taste a little bite. I am going to be making this more often.

Very tasty! I loved the hint of Dijon mustard. I think the amount of noodles may be incorrect. I used 8 oz of noodles and it was just right. I also added some chopped onion and garlic. Thanx for a wonderful meal. I'll make this again.
