Ingredients

  • tablespoons flour
  • tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 500 g of frozen chopped up green cabbage (we can buy this at the store, i dont know about in the US)
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream or milk
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Directions

    1. 1
Melt the margarine or butter and wisk in the flour, then add the milk or cream a little at the time and let it cook for a short time while you are wisking til its thick enough to cover the back of a spoon.
    2. 2
Then add the cabage and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, it has to be rather thick and a nice dark-green color( not a white sauce with cabage pieces in it, then it is to thin and you need to make it a bit thicker). add salt, pebber and nutmeg to taste.
