Kittencal's Greek Garden Salad With Greek-Style Dressing

All amounts may be adjusted to taste, the dressing amounts will yield just slightly over 1 cup and I strongly suggest to make the dressing in advance even better 24 hours ahead --- serve the salad with crusty bread on the side --- the dressing from my Kittencal's Famous Greek Salad also works well with this salad

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

GREEK-STYLE DRESSING

SALAD

Directions

  1. 1
For the dressing in a bowl combine all ingredients.
  2. 2

  4. 4
At this point you may chill, before serving add in salad dressing, then season with black pepper and salt.

This is the best salad dressing we have ever made. Attended a local greek restaurant recently, gave us the idea to try your recipe. extremely easy to make, however, i made a small change, adding the juice of 1 half lemon to enhance the acid basis, it work out great. thanks Cal...

In the initial mix of the dressing I was hesitant - HA I was so wrong! Its delicious and once it settles into the salad and marinates a bit this is AWESOME! I no longer need to visit the deli - at last! I no longer have to be bothered that they are out of greek salad (which they always are). Now it will always be in my fridge!

Made this last weekend for a BBQ and it was really good. I did substitute greek olives for the black olives, but otherwise made as directed. Very easy to put together and very tasty! Thanks for sharing!
