My kids love this on a hot summer day. I have found it works well also to divide the chocolate fudge topping and use half in step 5 and the other in step 7. You may also add a jar of caramel topping if you desire.

I made this when company was coming over, and it was eaten in no time flat! Yum Yum Yummy! I added 1 layer of hot fudge on top of the ice cream sandwiches, then the whipped cream, then more hot fudge, and then walnuts and pecans all over the top. So easy to whip up and so delicous!

Really good and really easy and totally impressive. As suggested by another reviewer, I used caramel topping for the first layer and chocolate fudge for the top layer. A big hit with my guests! Thanks for posting.

I also got this recipe out of Quick Cooking magazine a few years ago and it has quickly become a family favorite! I actually use one layer with the fudge topping and add one layer of carmel topping. Rich and delicious!
