Spicy Sausage Cheese Balls

Ingredients

• 1 lb pork sausage
• 1 lb extra-sharp cheddar cheese
• 3 cups biscuit mix (bisquick)
• 1 tablespoon hot red pepper flakes

Directions

   Grate the cheese and add to a skillet on the stove. Add the sausage to the cheese, stirring it together until all combined and smooth on medium heat and heat until the cheese is melted. You are not trying to cook the sausage.

   Then add the biscuit mix and combine. Cover and refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.

   Heat the oven to 400°F.

   On a cookie sheet pan (flat pan) roll the dough into small balls. About 1 inch diameter, and bake for 8-10 minutes -- or longer depending on your taste.
