I didn't make the dressing, but I like to make quite a few recipes that call for dry ranch mix, thus my delight in finding this recipe. I absolutely could not tell the difference between this and store bought. It was so simple and definitely a money saver. I doubled the onion powder and garlic powder, as I omitted the onion salt and garlic salt. I also used low sodium saltines, to keep the sodium a little bit lower. Thanks for this wonderful keeper!

I have made this a few times and have found it a bit salty. I removed the onion and garlic salt and added more dill. Works great. Im thinking the salt on the crackers and the salts(garlic/onion) were too much. It has been the ranch staple in my house since I first tried it. Saved the pocket book for sure! Thanks!!

I have tried different recipes for 'Ranch' mix, but this one is definetly the best. Instead of using mayo and buttermilk, I used 2 cups of sour cream for the dip. For the dressing I use 1 c. sour cream and 1 c. buttermilk. Good recipe!

This is the BEST! I made it using only 1/2 the dill because I was afraid it would be too much. (Personal taste) I added some Hormel Real Bacon Bits to make it into Bacon Ranch and it tasted even better than my favorite that costs about $4.00 a jar. This will be my fav from now on. No more store-bought second best for me! Thanks a bunch Barbara.
