Mr Bimms BBQ Ribs

Ingredients

• 6 large meaty spareribs
• 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
• 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

For the sauce

• 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
• 200 g HP steak sauce
• 200 g tomato puree
• 100 g caster sugar
• 1 pint boiling water
• salt and pepper

Directions

   Place the ribs in a large roasting tin, sprinkle with sugar and worcester sauce and place in a pre-heated oven (170c). Roast for approx 1 hour (depending on the size of the ribs).

   Remove the ribs from the oven and drain off the fat, reduce the oven temperature to 130c.

   To make the sauce, place all the ingrdients into a mixing bowl (add the boiling water last) and mix using a hand whisk.

   Pour the sauce over the ribs and cover with tin foil, place in the oven for approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
