I found this hidden gem of a recipe in a library book several years ago. It is always the first to go in my Christmas goody baskets.

50 -60 small balls (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    In electric skillet set at 300 degrees (or heavy pan over low heat), cook butter, sugar, dates and egg until gooey and thickened.

    Add pecans and vanilla.
  3. 3
    Then add Rice Krispies.
  4. 4
    Mix well.
  5. 5
    Cool until slightly warm.
  6. 6
    Form into balls & roll in powdered sugar.
  7. 7
    Makes 50-60 small balls.
