This is a fast, tasty highball that I love. I've been making these for years. In the 1930s, John O'Hara used to mention these in his novels. I'm sure that Ernest Hemingway drank a million of them! RC Cola works much better than Coke for this one. This is listed under "cocktails" but it's really a highball, only using one liquor. Enjoy!

SERVES 1 , 1 highball (change servings and units)

Ingredients

8 ounces cola, Royal Crown (RC)
6 ice cubes
2 1/2 ounces light rum
2 lime wedges

Directions

In a frosted 12-ounce tumbler, pour in the ice cubes. Squeeze the lime wedges over the ice and drop them into the tumbler.

Pour the rum over the ice.

Slowly pour the RC Cola over the ice and stir.
