Peppermint Patties

Great recipe to add to your cookie trays for the holidays.

SERVES 50 -60 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    In a bowl, combine sugar, butter and extracts.

    Add milk, and blend well.
  3. 3
    Roll mixture into 1" balls and place on wax paper lined cookie sheet.

    Chill for 20 minutes.
  5. 5
    Flatten peppermint balls into 1/4" thickness.
  6. 6
    Chill for 30 minutes.
  7. 7
    In a double boiler melt chocolate chips and shortening.
  8. 8
    Dip patties in chocolate and then place on wax paper and freeze for a short while.
