Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • ounce unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • tablespoons heavy cream
  • cup coconut flakes
  • cups graham cracker crumbs
  • cups powdered sugar
  • teaspoon vanilla
  • Top Layer

    Directions

      Melt Butter and 1 oz chocolate then add next six ingredients.

      Press into bottom of lightly greased pan. Chill.
    3. 3
      Cream 1/4 cup of butter, add remaining 3 ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy.

      Spread evenly over base in pan.

      Chill.

      Melt last 1 1/2 oz chocolate and spread quickly on top of cream layer.

      Chill.

      Cut into small Squares.

      No larger than 2x2" as these are very rich cookies.

      Makes one 9x9 pan.

    I disagree with Bogey'sMom...this recipe was very easy to follow, I made them before even reading her review and I didnt seem to have the same problem. I believe she may have been thrown off by the butter and chocolate being used twice in each layer and just misread??? Either way, these were yummy and I will make them again!

    The directions are confusing, which I did not realize until I started the process. Is "add next six ingredients" referring to the six ingredients after the butter, or the 1 oz chocolate? What three ingredients are supposed to be left? I ended up squishing it all together and making balls to salvage the ingredients, but it's not what I was looking for.
