Colonel Sanders Honey Rum Sauce

Ingredients
Directions

Combine sugar, honey, salt, and hot water.2
Mix well and add butter.3
Place over heat and bring slowly to a roiling boil, then remove from heat and let cool.4
Add rum or extract; store at room temperature.5
Place a piece of pie on plate that heat won't harm.6
Ladle 2 fluid ounces of the sauce over pie.7
Place under broiler till sauce bubbles.8
Serve hot.
