Bella's Crock Pot Italian Beef

Recipe #265567 | ½ day | 10 min prep | add private note

Bella's was a restaurant in our town, and we loved to eat their Italian Beef subs. They had to close due to Bella's health, but after a lot of begging, she gave us the recipe. This smells so good while it is cooking. It can be served over pasta (first thicken sauce with a bit of cornstarch), open-face over toast, on a sub bun, or on a big pile of garlic mashed potatoes...

Nice Italian Beef recipe. . .different than the typical recipe that calls for a jar of peppercini's with it's liquid! I will make this again and will DOUBLE all the spices listed (including using 2 packets of dressing mix). At the end of cooking, I used only 1/2 of the juices and thickened them up with cornstarch and mixed it back in with the meat which was delicious.
